Excellent progression! You are defiantly kicking some digital butt on this project! My only crit at this point is the perspective on the cg elephant. It looks like her rear-end is sinking down into the earth (or she is stepping up on something by the wall). You don’t have to arch her back like the live elephant but just a little.
I can't tell which elephant is real. They look amazing. This is picky, but the body pf your elephant looks much smaller than the other one. Is this OK?
It looks amazing Doug. The things that stand out to me im sure you already see yourself anyway but the shadows of your elephant don't cast a strong enough shadow on the rock its leaning over and it seems like the end of the trunk should be in shadow. The other thing I would say is to add some blemishes and some large wrinkles through your textures. It is so close to being photo real...
this has nothing to do with your elephant but this website reminds me of something you would like. It has that real comic book type style. It is Zack Petroc's website. He is an amazing modeler so check out his work when you have time.
i dont like to curse on the interweb but, holly effin shnitzen balls! that might have been an over reaction but awesome dude. ur almost better than the guys who did the incredible hulk! for real tho... ur the shit. give urself a pat on the back. keep it up and u'll be set.
I agree with charlotte's comment and I also feel that the spot on the end of the nose is a little to hot, but I'm sure your not done with the lighting yet

The elephant looks great. You did a great job in the lighting and the placement with the other elephant. It looks so realistic.
